For the first time since our wedding, we hired a photographer. The very talented Jessica Claire was in town and offering mini sessions for one day only. We were grateful to get a spot, I was grateful to learn a thing or two by being on the other side of the camera, and I am also grateful to have some beautiful portraits of our family (that I am actually in!)
We didn’t get our act together in time to order holiday cards with these images, though, so our card this year features one of my pictures of Lucy and Fiona. I always recommend Tiny Prints to my clients for holiday cards, because they are so high quality. The paper is thick, sturdy and and has a creamy, matte finish.
The whole month of December has been filled with holiday decorating, tree trimming and gift searching, ordering, and wrapping. This was one of the few years where I actually felt finished and ready long before the big day. Online ordering and shipping makes me so happy!
Our tree may look a little bare around the bottom, but don’t worry – my two little elves have arranged, rearranged, broken, hid, who-knows-what to more ornaments than I can account for this year. The solution was to move most of the breakable ornaments to the top of the tree, and no presents can possibly be stored under the tree unless they should be opened immediately. Lesson learned.
I ADORE these ornaments that I order every year from ProDpi with a new picture of Lucy and Fiona.
Only one day left to open on our advent calendar! This was a new to us Christmas tradition that we tried this year, and the girls loved opening each tiny door to reveal either a treat or something fun to do to get us in the holiday spirit. This is definitely a tradition we will keep.
2013 has a been a great year, and I can’t wait to see what 2014 brings! Happy Holidays!
