We were about 30-35 minutes in to Madeline’s {first} senior portraits session when it started to sprinkle. Rain was not in the forecast for the day, so we decided to wait it out under the shelter of a nearby building. While we were waiting we started chatting and Madeline mentioned this blue dress that she had, and almost wore to prom (she wore a gorgeous maroon dress to prom:). By the end of our talk, she had decided to bring the blue dress to what would likely be our rescheduled next session date, because the rain didn’t seem to be letting up.
She did bring that dress to our second session date, and we were all so glad she did! Those pictures became her and her mom’s favorites from our session!
We will have plenty of time during your senior portrait session to get your cute, everyday outfits, but I love it when seniors take this opportunity to be a little bit bold!
And if a bug the exact same color as your dress flies on you, I’ll probably make you take a picture with the bug (thanks for being such a good sport, Maddi!)
