Graduation Announcements and the Coronavirus

Should you still send graduation announcements this year?

Of course you should!  You have worked hard to get here and that deserves recognition and celebration!

Spring is typically the time of year when I am designing, finalizing and delivering graduation announcements.  We use a few pictures from your senior portrait session, announce the date of your graduation, include any upcoming party details or where you’ll be headed off to college.  But this year, due to the uncertainty that coronavirus has brought – we may have to rethink what info we put on announcements.  Here are a few options.

SIMPLE GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS

Keep it simple. This type of announcement  includes just the pertinent info- your name, your graduation class year, and your high school.

*All real names and personal info have been changed

GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS/INVITATIONS WITH CEREMONY OR PARTY INFO

This announcement includes all of the details for the ceremony or grad party.  Since this one tends to have the most specifics, this year it may be better to go with one of the less specific options.  You can always share ceremony or party details later.

GRAD ANNOUNCEMENTS WITH QUOTE

In the place of party info, add in a favorite quote.  This is a perfect time to spread some optimism and positivity along with your big accomplishment.

GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS WITH COLLEGE PLANS

Why not share your future college plans? Your friends and family will love to know what your plans are for the future.

So yes, I think you should still announce this milestone. Your accomplishment deserves to be celebrated, and think of all of the mailboxes you will brighten!

If you had your senior session with me and would like info about ordering your own custom graduation announcements, email me to view the different card designs.

If you’d like information about scheduling your own high school or college senior portrait session, get in touch!  Sessions are on hold until the stay at home order is lifted, however we can still plan your senior portraits, and there is still time to have your own grad announcements designed and ordered!
