Anna mentioned that her parents invited a few friends from the dock. They’ve have been coming to this marina since she was little. She wasn’t kidding- there was a whole group of her “dock family” on one of the largest houseboats, eating dinner and cheering Anna on as we made our way up and down the dock in the late afternoon.
We wanted to catch sunset over on the breakaway wall in the middle of the lake, so we left that for the last location. We weren’t prepared for the dark clouds that were quickly rolling in, so we made our trip over by boat as fast as we could, while we kept a close eye on the lightening in the distance.
This was by far one of the most memorable sessions for me, and I love that Anna chose a location that was so special and meaningful for her! I also love that she made a celebration out of the portrait session itself, because her dock family could not have been happier to be there for her and celebrate this next phase of her life!
