The weather was perfect for a downtown festival, mostly cloudy with the sun peeking out a few times to shine brightly on all of the colorful things. All five senses were stimulated with bright colors on the asphalt, music at the end of each street, and the smell from the nearby food trucks. This was our 2nd time going to SPARKcon, but the first time with two preschoolers (a 2 yr old and 4 yr old), and both were entertained and hopefully, learned and saw a few new things. The DIY xylophone was very hands on and a big hit, and all of the hula hoopers around the drum circle were almost hypnotic for the kids. A great way to spend an afternoon in downtown Raleigh!
