Happy 2016!

I am so thankful for all of these happy people!! {scroll down- there’s a lot of people!}

At the end of 2015, I was so excited for the new year and all of the changes it would hold for me and my business.  Then I got sick. Then the kids got sick. Then it snowed.  I swear the kids were out of school more than they were in school.  I feel like I got nothing done in January.

So I am celebrating the new year in February. 2015 was a great year. I had a lot of referrals and repeat clients, which is the best compliment my business can get. {THANK YOU!}

This year my business will be growing and changing.  I am no longer taking weddings, and am choosing to specialize in high school seniors.  I will be introducing Senior Week, Prom Mini Sessions, and Tween Sessions.  I will be doing In person Sales Sessions for every session this year, as I feel it truly best serves the client.  In about an hour, we will have your selections chosen and your product decisions made.  Then all you have to do is wait for your beautiful artwork to arrive. 🙂

I will still be photographing happy families- happy families are fun to be with and always enjoy their sessions!

I look forward to meeting and photographing more creative entrepreneurs.  I love to support and honor female entrepreneurs. And having beautiful personal branding photographs that truly represent you and your business can be the boost that make people take notice.  I like to help with that.  We’re basically all on this journey together, right?

I also intend to start posting personal things again.  I love Instagram, but I noticed that I don’t share much of myself on my blog anymore.  And I want my clients to get a full picture of who I am.  Who we are is a HUGE part of why we do what we do.  Part of the reason I am so interested in photographing high school girls is to help them feel confident in who they are.  Right now in this minute.  Empower them by showing them their own strength, beauty, and grace.  I want to be able to do this for my own daughters, too.  I also want my daughter’s to see me as a female business owner who gets excited to go work, and bring in enough money to support our family.  So many people hate their jobs, and I want them to see that that is a choice.  I choose to succeed at this wonderful job and create a sustainable, profitable business in the meantime. 🙂

So thank you to all of these beautiful people who trusted me and believed in me to make their portraits!  Here’s to a full + fulfilling 2016 for all of us!
