Our first get together was all about keeping things relaxed and easy. We did a few ice breakers, chatted about the year ahead, took quick headshots, and gave everyone a chance to finally meet in person after connecting online. One of my favorite parts of the Senior Model Team every year is watching girls from different schools walk in a little nervous and leave already feeling like friends.
What Is the Senior Model Team?
The Senior Model Team is a small group of high school juniors from the Raleigh, Apex, and Cary area who spend their senior year doing more than just one photo session.
Throughout the year, we do creative shoots and seasonal sessions. This year long experience is a great way to celebrate this final chapter of high school!
Why I Do This
I’ve been photographing seniors for a long time now, and one thing I know for sure is that senior year flies by for both kids and parents. The Senior Model Team gives girls a chance to slow down a little and actually enjoy this season while documenting it in a way that feels real, fun, and personal. It’s not about perfectly posed photos all the time. It’s about confidence, friendships, personality, and creating memories they’ll actually want to look back on someday.
