Kyra reached out to me about updating her headshots (we did our first shoot together a few years ago- click here to see). She is a children’s author and teacher who hopes to instill the love of reading in every child! She has a passion for our public libraries and empowering all students, especially those new to the United States.
Her book, “America, Here I Come!” was inspired by actual students who moved to the United States and have shared their feelings, hopes and questions. Reading the story allows children to better understand the experience of moving, making new friendships, facing their fears and ultimately following their dreams!
