When planning senior photos, one of the first questions I get is:
“How do I pick the perfect location?”
The good news is- you don’t have to! With a solid plan, we can choose a multiple locations within our area to get a variety of looks and images.
Shaya, a senior at Green Level High School and part of my Class of 2026 Senior Model Team, is the perfect example of how we can create a session that feels completely you by incorporating several locations into your session.
Shaya wanted her session to show the different sides of her. We started in the studio for clean and editorial images. The classic feel of studio images will never go out of style and it allows you and your style to really shine.
After the studio, we headed to downtown Raleigh. Shaya wanted the architecture of Raleigh – the brick walls, the cool doors and all of the interesting details.
And last, we finished the session at one of my favorite hidden gems- a nearby stream with a small waterfall. This gave us something completely different. The soft natural light and the movement in the water brought out Shaya’s playful side.
The Magic Is in the Variety
By the end of Shaya’s session, we had images that felt like three completely different shoots without ever feeling rushed or overwhelming.
That’s the beauty of planning your session together. We work out a plan to choose locations that are close enough to make sense logistically, pair your outfits with each setting and map out the flow so the session feels easy and fun! So instead of stressing over the perfect spot, you get a perfectly planned experience!
