My girls + our holiday card session

December 22, 2017

Don’t ever be afraid to sparkle a little bit brighter, dear.

That was the theme for this session, with both of my girls picking out the sparkliest of dresses.  One of the best ways to get them on board for a photo session is to let them get all dressed up and excited about what they get to wear.

I put our holiday session on my calendar this year to ensure that I wouldn’t be behind at christmas card mailing time.  I had another session scheduled for that same afternoon and even rented a new camera for the weekend that I wanted to try out.

I was so proud of myself for getting all of my ducks in a row.  But the one thing I couldn’t control – the weather – was not cooperating.

After watching drizzly rain all morning, my afternoon appointment decided to reschedule.  It wasn’t cold and since it was only lightly raining off and on, we decided to risk it.  We even scooted into the museum when it started to rain a little heavier and enjoyed seeing the art.

It may not have been the perfect afternoon for a client session, but it definitely made for a fun and memorable session with my girls!  We had some seriously silly moments but also got just the right images for our holiday card.  Scroll all the way to the bottom to see our 2017 holiday card 🙂

Happy Holidays from my family to yours!
