Not every senior session includes a rooftop parking deck, a record store, and a love for all things gothic and alternative and that’s exactly why I loved photographing Ava.
Ava is a senior and soon to be grad of Panther Creek High School Class of 2026. Inspired by the 80s and 90s gothic music scene, she has a look and vibe that is completely her own. While I photograph plenty of seniors in flowing dresses and flower fields, I always love when a senior chooses locations and outfits that truly reflect who they are.
We shot most of her session in Downtown Raleigh in an area with a mix of urban textures, murals and a punk record store that allowed us to get a few shots inside!
What made this session even more special is that I photographed Ava and her family years ago. It is always such an honor when I get the chance to document another milestone for families I’ve worked with before.
This fall, Ava will be heading to Meredith College to begin her next chapter with plans to pursue a career as a Nurse Practitioner.
