I love how thoughtful Addison was when it came time to plan her senior session. Along with her outfits, she wanted to bring the people and things that matter most to her – the details that will make these pictures even more special years from now.

Her mom, grandma, and little brother came along, with her dad joining us midway through. She is so well loved, and it was fun to have her family be part of the afternoon.

She also brought framed photographs of her two grandparents who have passed away. Including them was such a sweet way to keep these important people part of this milestone.

Then there was her childhood stuffed hippo and her colorfully annotated Bible – two very different things that both say something about who she is. This is exactly why I love when seniors bring meaningful items. They add a story that no outfit or backdrop could tell on its own.

Before we could photograph any of it, though- the rain! It poured the minute we arrived. Not quite the start we had planned, and I wasn’t sure whether it would pass.

But Addison wanted to wait and see what happened, so we did. Thankfully, the rain stopped, the weather turned beautiful, and we were so glad we stayed!

That’s Addison: always up for everything. She brings that same fun energy to our Senior Model Team shoots, and I’ve loved having her in the group this year.
